Quasimodo jams, sauces and other natural preserves are created from cosmetically imperfect fruit and vegetables, reducing the approximately 10 million tonnes of food lost every year due to unnecessary waste. Quasimodo craft products are made with love, based on traditional recipes, without preservatives. Our philosophy is about respecting diversity and nature, while reducing the global problem of food waste, one jar at a time. We believe that nutritious, delicious food for all, can and should go hand in hand with regenerating our planet.

There are no statistic data about the Food Waste in Cyprus, even though there are millions of tones in the rubbish, every year.
Farmers have to do their outmost to reduce food losses on the farm. Farmers are among the very last people who do not want to see their crops wasted since their living depends upon finding a viable usage for their produce.
They never make it to store shelves because they simply look a little different.
We need to change the cosmetic standards along the food chains, changing their expectations of what fruit and veg looks like in the interest of reducing waste.
Food loss represents a waste of resources used in production such as land, water and energy increasing the green gas emissions in vain.
There are guidelines, amongst, corporations demanding to separate fruits and vegetables into grades, based on things like size, color, shape and appearance. (so called ‘’beauty standards’’)
